A New York, negli anni Venti, dopo la morte di Roxy Robinson, tra bande mafiose rivali si scatena una guerra terribile a suon di torte in faccia. Gli scontri avvengono soprattutto tra gli uomini di Fat Sam e quelli di Dandy Dan, col predominio del secondo che possiede modernissime mitragliatrici a bigné. Fat Sam tiene in piedi un night dove, accanto alla collaudata Tallulah, aspirano a prendere posto ballerini, prestigiatori e cantanti come Blousey, che è perennemente in lista di attesa e aspira ardentemente ad andare a Hollywood. È Blousey ad attirare l'attenzione di Bugsy Malone, un personaggio al di fuori delle lotte, ma assai rappresentativo dell'ambiente e considerato molto saggio.
In New York, in the 1920s, after the death of Roxy Robinson, a terrible war broke out between rival mafia gangs with pies in the face. The clashes occur mainly between the men of Fat Sam and those of Dandy Dan, with the predominance of the latter who owns very modern cupcake machine guns. Fat Sam holds a nightclub where, alongside the proven Tallulah, dancers, magicians and singers like Blousey, who is perpetually on the waiting list and ardently aspires to go to Hollywood, aspire to take their place. It is Blousey who attracts the attention of Bugsy Malone, a character outside the struggle, but very representative of the environment and considered very wise.
