'Ivy refuses to stop on at the shop out of loyalty. She\'s starting at Bettabuys. Alma and Gail tell Audrey that she has to pull herself together.Rita feels sorry for Alf. She finds herself in a corner when he tells her she\'s the only woman ever to understand him. Rita lectures Audrey on what a mess she\'s making of her life and makes her see that she needs Alf. So Audrey goes to make up with Alf, but when she sees Ivy in the shop she changes her mind. Later, Ivy calls on Audrey to tell her Alf has collapsed I the shop and been taken to hospital. Ralph Dobson contacts Jackie and arranges a private meeting and during this meeting Ralph tells Jackie that his new firm wants to buy Ingrams. Deirdre discovers the arcade mangers haven\'t been paid recently and Dean tells her that Phil often has cash flow problems. Phil tells Mike he needs money for a deal and asks for a £6,000 loan. Mike says he can\'t help him until after the wedding. Emily returns home after enjoying the peace and tranquillity of Rhos on Sea.' |
