'Crichton worries that Rita will crumble on the stand, but Rita appears vindictive and is determined to see Alan go down. Alan pleads guilty to the charges of deception and actual bodily harm. Rita and Jenny are relieved they won\'t have to give evidence as Alan has pleaded guilty. Jenny however, is upset when Alan gets 2 years, but Rita is furious it won\'t be longer. She is stunned to learn that he\'s served enough of his time and has been released to walk free from the court. Gail goes back to the café as Ivy looks after the children. She refuses to look after Martin, which makes it hard for Martin to have Ivy in the house. Mike shows Audrey round his new flat. She loves it and arranges to bring Alf to dinner.' |
